Rescue Systems

This course is the basis for conducting safe and systematic rescues in urban search and rescue environments. Rescue Systems has three levels of instruction and each level builds upon the previous course. Providing you with a systems approach to urban search and rescue utilizing common equipment carried on an engine, aerial truck and/or support unit to affect rescue in urban search and rescue environments. This program is ideal for agencies who can’t provide for or support a Type I, II or III US&R Team but still need their personnel trained for rescue operations for normal responses and/or disaster rescue efforts. Students will learn rope skills that can be applied to all rope rescue incidents, lifting, moving and stabilization of heavy objects, breaching and breaking, ladder rescue techniques, and shoring operations. Rescue Systems One is a 5 day class. Depending on your Departments needs, Rescue Systems Two is Instructed over a 3 day format, followed by Rescue Systems Three which is covered in 2 days.
