Mike Shafferkoetter

Mike Shafferkoetter is a proud Veteran of the United States Navy and a Firefighter Paramedic with 30 years in the fire service. Mike (Cutter) is currently the Division Chief of Training for the Rock Community Fire Protection District and is tasked with the training and certifications of 5 Engine Companies and has worked there for over 18 years. Cutter has been involved with the Technical Rescue side of the fire service for 28 years and is a Rescue Team Manager for FEMA’s Missouri Task Force One and for the St. Louis Metro Task Force Five. Cutter has been an instructor for over 22 years and has focused on Trench Rescue, High Angle and Structural Collapse where he has earned the certification of Subject Matter Expert. Cutter has instructed for the University of Missouri, FEMA, Missouri Emergency Training Specialists and multiple local agencies and has educated hundreds of firefighters over his years of service.
